Database Coordinator - Buckner International - Dallas,TX  BASIC FUNCTION: Responsible for production of standing and adhoc files, lists and reports used for development related activities and events.Responsible for coding and updates for family groups and other groups asidentified. Responsible for import processing of identified files fromBlackbaud online and third party systems. Responsible for maintaining dataintegrity. Serves as backup and assists with gift processing andacknowledgement as needed. Serves as backup for production of standing and adhoc email lists used for development related activities and events. RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS: NOTE: Some descriptions may have more specificduties and/or goals and objectives attached to this form. Such attachmentsnormally reflect unique aspects of specific locations, shifts, departments,etc.  - Prepare standing and ad hoc mail files for direct mail, publications, events or other mailings. This includes developing and running queries, segmentation and exports and reviewing lists for accuracy and completeness before sending to internal or external sources. Ensure changes found in lists are reflected in the database. - Prepare standing and ad hoc reports for development activities and events including but not limited to: Weekly Gift and Action reports, Portfolio Summary reports, Board/Executive Meeting reports, Development fundraising reports. - Manage “family group” coding and updates for Buckner Trustees, former trustees, employees, alumni, adoptive and foster parents and other groups as identified. - Routinely run data integrity queries to ensure accuracy of data on key data elements (i.e. title, constituency code, region, addressee, mail status, address lines, etc.). Make coding changes as needed. - Process and maintain importing of data from a variety of sources. This includes but is not limited to: review and adjustment of files before importing, setting up new import profiles, running import and global adds or adjustment to records once imported. - Manage tasks and projects assigned by the Database Administrator and other senior managers as directed; independently research, analyze data and produce reports as required. - Using project management methodologies, integrate data and information and serve as liaison between departments as appropriate. Consult on, support and require compliance, or take control and directly manage projects as assigned. - ........ POSITION EXPERIENCEAND ABILITIES: NOTE: These requirements represent minimumlevels in order to perform the job on a satisfactory basis. Candidates musthave the ability to satisfactorily perform the essential functions of the job. - Requires in-depth understanding of a comprehensive field of knowledge. Requires ability to define problems, draw conclusions and make decisions dealing with abstract variables. High School Diploma (or G.E.D.) required; Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study preferred. - Requires a minimum of three (3) years successful experience working with Blackbaud software or a similar donor management system and in a development/foundation department that included a comprehensive fundraising program; Raiser’s Edge and LuminateOnline experience preferred. - Requires proficient working knowledge of data management, queries, exports, imports and reporting. Requires proficient working knowledge of direct mail, acquisition mail and segmentation. Requires experience developing and implementing processes, standards and procedures related to data management. - Requires proficient understanding of project management, process design and procedures development and continuous improvement. Requires proficient ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions dealing with abstract variables. - Requires recognized ability to meet multiple deadlines by maintaining a high level of organization. - Requires demonstrated strong analytical skills, including an ability to synthesize large amounts of information and to focus quickly on the essence of an issue; strong commitment to producing measurable results. - Requires ability to function in a fast-paced, high volume, multi-faced, results-oriented work environment and to analyze issues, identify priorities, manage projects and make decisions expeditiously. - Requires experience developing, directing and managing multiple projects and implementing strategic program goals. - Requires ability to provide strategic and logistical planning and facilitate meetings and presentations as required. - Requires proficient counseling and problem solving skills. - .......
