We use Twilio to verify all phone numbers in our CRM (Salesforce) and flag whether they are valid and whether they are a landline or mobile. *Rebecca Boughamer*Assistant Vice President, Advancement Services | University of Maryland University College 3501 University Blvd E | Adelphi, MD 20783 Office: 301-985-7561 | Fax: 301-985-7111 | Mobile: 301-892-1277 | rebecca.boughamer@umuc.edu <rboughamer@umuc.edu> UMUC Advancement Services Intake Form <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScbK2bxhD80G_TWxn-FFjOYHG3j7uZXPL23BEjEoJA5fKn9_Q/viewform?usp=sf_link> UMUC IA Data Request Form <http://goo.gl/forms/eKbIEUBqKF> | UMUC IA Research Request Form <http://goo.gl/forms/dw7EMtguDR> On Thu, Jun 6, 2019 at 9:42 AM Pryor, Corie <cpryor@truman.edu> wrote: > I just did a data append with AlumniSync and they are sorting out the > phone numbers and listing whether it is a landlines or mobile phones. > > > > *Corie Pryor* > > Coordinator of Operations > > Advancement Office > > Truman State University > > Kirksville MO 63501 > > cpryor@truman.edu > > 660-785-4125 > > > > > > *This message (including any attachments) may contain confidential, > proprietary and privileged information, and unauthorized disclosure or use > is prohibited. Good Morning, One of the data integrity challenges we have is separating mobile/cell phone numbers from land line numbers when this is not explicitly communicated. Is anyone aware of a service that takes a batch of phone numbers and simply flags those that are clearly mobile/cell, so we can code these as such in our database? Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks. Roch, It's not a service but there are data providers such as https://allareacodes.com<https://www.allareacodes.com/> that can provide a data set with a breakdown of area code + phone prefix by usage (wireless/landline) and carrier (who purchased the block). We're looking at integrating those datasets to better identify the two types. I just did a data append with AlumniSync and they are sorting out the phone numbers and listing whether it is a landlines or mobile phones.
