Hi All, We are contracting with a company to do some year-end "ringless messaging" as a supplement to our year-end fundraising appeals and our legal counsel wants some assurances that what we are doing "complies with all federal, state, and local laws and that, particularly, it is in compliance with all regulations of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA)." Can anyone direct me to a primer on how these laws relate to higher-education fundraising? I was always under the impression that as long as we maintain a Do Not Call list of our own, and exclude them from this type of activity, we didn't have to worry about much else. The company we are working with only does these sorts of campaigns with colleges, so I just want to make sure I know what I'm talking about when I meet with legal counsel in the morning.
