    Virginia Tech would like to invite applicants for the position of: Prospect Research Analyst, Posting # SW0190333 Reporting to the Associate Director of Research, the Prospect Research Analyst provides prospect identification and research/analytics support for Virginia Tech. This role is responsible for creating concise, accurate, and timely capacity assessments and research profiles using biographical information, financial data, news, philanthropic history, etc. Additional responsibilities include developing research related reports, charts, presentations, and fundraising analytics. The successful candidate will be responsible for: - Identifying, analyzing, and evaluating information from a variety of sources (electronic and print) to determine a prospect's financial capacity, philanthropic interests, and relationship to the university - Maintaining an expectation of excellence in both written and verbal communication, as well as a dedication to superior customer service, with an emphasis on relationship building - Composing prospect profiles and reports for Advancement team members - Staying abreast of trends in prospect research, online searching, analytics, and participating in professional development opportunities - Tracking and disseminating news and information about top donors and prospects for pipeline development - Creating and presenting research strategies and methods, including developing creative research methods to identify potential donors and/or new donor prospects - Making assignment recommendations for identified prospects - Learning, developing, and applying data analytics skills to assist in the creation of predictive models/scores to help facilitate strategic and financial goals - Effectively maintaining prospect information in electronic forms (Blackbaud Customer Relationship Management software and SharePoint) - Assessing priorities and needs, manage own schedule, monitor progress and re-prioritize as necessary; complete work on time with minimal supervision - May perform other duties as assigned Interested candidates must apply online at www.jobs.vt.edu<http://www.jobs.vt.edu> and search for posting # SW0190333.
