Every Board I work with is different. However, when I sit down with a
sub-committee of Board and staff to draft a dashboard, I usually begin with
the attached page fro CompassPoint. It's a great conversation starter
regarding which metrics are essential to track - and I especially like the
notion of having the green, yellow, and red zones.
Of course, this example is missing the "actual" column which is added
between the Target and zone summaries.
