Apply Today! <https://jobs.ncsu.edu/postings/114993> Primary Function of Organizational Unit Advancement Services supports the operations of Alumni Relations, University Development & University Communications. The unit oversees the university’s alumni & donor database, Advance™, Advance BI systems, processing gifts and conducting research about potential contribution opportunities. Advancement Services also maintains financial records, conducts donor research, receipts corporate & individual private gifts following the NC State Standard Operating Procedures for Acceptance of Gifts, administers the corporate matching gifts program, updates & verifies alumni records, manages donor prospect tracking systems, plans and manages gift agreements & endowment reports. The mission of University Advancement is to secure support for NC State University in terms of dollars, service and engagement by delivering an integrated program of development, alumni relations, communications and marketing, and advancement services. Our objective is to build deep and long-term relationships with alumni and other stakeholders and partners that will ensure increased support to NC State in the future. Essential Job Duties This Donor Services Specialist’s main functions will include coordinating the donor-funded professorship process, producing annual print and digital endowment reports, acting as a liaison between advancement reporting/IT, data integration and management, reporting, benchmarking and allocation review, act as the team’s project manager and assist in automating processes. Donor Services is seeking an individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced and innovative team environment. The ideal candidate will have superb writing skills and will be capable of working with processes that require analytical skills and problem-solving, being responsible for many simultaneous and detail-oriented duties and working directly with front-line fund development staff. This position will report to the Assistant Director of Donor Services. This position will be responsible for the following: • Create distinguished professorship gift agreements and documentation and strategically partner with other departments in the approval process. • Assist in developing and managing 3,100+ endowment reports by integrating data into reports, applying data analysis, reviewing endowment history, editing reports, assisting Director and Assistant Director in the creation of reports and providing donors their report. • Provide support to the Assistant Director by researching donor and endowment history. • Assist with implementation of Donor Services technology projects, such as a digital endowment report platform, gift agreement automation, digital surveys, online forms, and a donor portal. • Assist with managing metric reporting for Donor Services, and tasks/projects through a project reporting platform. • Provide customer service to both internal stakeholders and donors to enhance the giving experience. • Assist in designing handouts, graphs, printed materials, reports, infographics, presentations, policies, project charters, project management plans, etc. • Other duties as assigned by supervisor. Other Work/Responsibilities Miscellaneous special projects as assigned by supervisor.
