What does the performer normal charge to perform? It does not matter that they are not charing on this occasion. What matters is that they still are providing a performance/value. You need to identify what that normal per person charge is and use that as your QPQ.

Hi, we don't do this kind of thing very often, so I would like to know what rules apply to this situation. A performer, who was a friend of an alumna who passed away, will come and do a performance on-campus as a fundraiser for a memorial fund. The performer does not want to be paid, we are not serving food or drinks, and there is no rental facility charge. If we charge, say, $25 for a "ticket", what sort of benefit calculation should we use? Or should we suggest a minimum contribution and just make it free?
Thanks so much; this is not my wheelhouse!
