Curious if schools have gift policy on minimum gift amounts? Or do you let your Annual Fund people tell you to book .19 cents as a senior class gift. 😵

We don't have a minimum gift policy. However, we've recently begun to talk about it in terms of recurring payroll deduction donations, when someone pledges $.38/pay period, whether a strategy of encouraging an annual $10 deduction could be implemented. Look in the archives from last week regarding CASE’s stance on this. I would never endorse proactively encouraging gifts of this size, but I would never tell a donor to keep their money if they volunteered a small amount. And I would enter every small gift if you have donor information. And receipt/acknowledge it. While there is a cost involved that exceeds the value of a gift, it’s no different than a small response to an acquisition piece. And we all have stories to tell about those little gifts converting to big gifts. One big one makes it all worth it. Sent from my iPhone Please excuse brevity and misspelling.
