Well, there still could be a "movement" forming in this area. But I think
that many senior leaders are getting overly gunshy thanks to political
shenanigans. Now, there could be more sensitivity to this issue in
prominent public institutions. However, some of the biggest of these sat
in on our session and did not voice a concern. Yet.
I do think that there is a great deal we can learn from recent political
news. It simply reemphasizes our need to be diligent when dealing with
people we don't know. But I remember that we were doing thorough research
for namings at Duke back in the 1990s. And that was sufficient then a (I
believe) is now.
But do make sure you have a very clearly crafted Unnaming Policy!
