  • 1.  Study: Charitable Giving Grew a Sluggish 1.6% Last Year

    For a bit of context, the organizations participating in the studies generating these data are predominately outside of higher education. And the average annual donation amount for the 13,601 organizations participating is just over $1,000. According to the study, "One reason this average is relatively low is because many large organizations with proprietary software or 'enterprise' systems are not participating in the survey." As a comparison, the VSE data as of 6/30/2018 indicated a nice 7.2% increase in philanthropic giving to higher education. John John H. Taylor Principal, John H.
