This position would be great for someone who is data and detail-oriented with strong interpersonal skills and experience working in a fundraising and/or educational environment. Brief Job Summary:
Working under the general supervision of the Manager, Gift Administration, the Gift Administration Assistant Manager oversees the day-to-day operations of Gift Administration, the unit that serves as the official office of record for all private support to the University. Gift Administration's analysis and management of secured pledges and gifts ensure that donor intent is honored, transactions are appropriately classified, and that donors receive timely and correct receipt information in accordance with IRS and UC policies and in line with the donor/prospect cycle that supports philanthropic relationships. The Assistant Manager serves as a point of contact for development staff to communicate gift policies, review solicitations, and ensure compliance with University procedures and practices. The Assistant Manager has delegated authority for the acceptance of gifts up to $500,000 and supervises four full-time employees.
