Would you be willing to discuss the pros and cons of the advancement office using these products and how well they “talk” to Colleague? Hi Cynthia, We are not current Colleague users, but we did just go through a migration from Ellucian Advance to Salesforce for Institutional Advancement and we are keeping Advance for gifts processing so we have set up an integration. To Beverly's point, it isn't pretty! But it works and so far works well. I'm happy to discuss more ins and outs if you care to connect. *Rebecca Boughamer*Assistant Vice President, Advancement Services | University of Maryland University College 3501 University Blvd E | Adelphi, MD 20783 Office: 301-985-7561 | Fax: 301-985-7111 | Mobile: 301-892-1277 | rebecca.boughamer@umuc.edu <rboughamer@umuc.edu> UMUC Advancement Services Intake Form <https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScbK2bxhD80G_TWxn-FFjOYHG3j7uZXPL23BEjEoJA5fKn9_Q/viewform?usp=sf_link> UMUC IA Data Request Form <http://goo.gl/forms/eKbIEUBqKF> | UMUC IA Research Request Form <http://goo.gl/forms/dw7EMtguDR> On Mon, Feb 18, 2019 at 5:44 PM Hornbeck, Cynthia <CHornbeck1@twu.edu> wrote: > Our university is exploring the option of changing CRMs and they are > wanting the advancement office to change systems also. Our organization recently switched over to Salesforce last year in April. It's been (and continues to be!) a journey for us. Happy to share more about our experience so far, although we're not an academic institution so I can't speak to how it intersects with the other software programs you've mentioned. We are, however, aiming to transition all of our direct program departments to using Salesforce as well. Our Advancement Office made the switch to Salesforce three years ago. Cannot speak to the Target X or Colleague interface but there is a robust higher education community within Salesforce's online ecosystem. If you are contemplating Salesforce or have specific questions here are some links to resources that may help. I highly recommend the monthly office hours.
