Maybe a strange topic and probably more closely related to my campaign hat I'm curious if anyone has heard of good case studies or know of colleges or universities that have used holograms to promote building projects. For us it is likely that our up coming campaign public phase will focus mainly on one building, a new campus commons, and the feeling is that we will need a new approach from our last campaign where we did the old fashion road show event tour. Looking for something that would be memorable, that could launch right here on campus, but where people could connect with the launch virtually and not feel like they are getting tier-two treatment. Not sure if that is even feasible but I am on vacation next week and enjoy having a special research project to investigate that I might not normally make the time for during the daily grind. Thanks! John, We’ve never done holograms, but we have done virtual reality. You can do this through either the commercially available hardware (Occulus Rift, etc…) or using a combination of people’s smart phones and something like Google Cardboard. Many architecture firms can provide these as turnkey solutions, as can many larger marketing firms. Of course, you’ll definitely pay for that. We’ve also had some success with using students on campus to do this kind of work, as they’ve learned some of these skills for their coursework. Good luck!
