    IRS Publication 526. Partial Interest. You are not being given anything permanently - just the use of the venue at a reduced rate. No receipt - just a nice thank you. You could, of course, pay the going rate and they could voluntarily make a cash gift to you some day down the road. . . .     I feel like I'm losing my mind today (or maybe I'm just excited that we finally have snow.) We have a business wanting to give us a discount on the venue for an upcoming event. What publication talks about this? And can we actually give them a receipt? I thought it wasn't tax-deductible.
