The Data Reporting Analyst will make an immediate impact on Virginia Tech's Advancement efforts. This position is integral to the team for a new technology product initiative within University Development and the Alumni Association, providing the ideal candidate with the perfect opportunity to develop a more advanced skill set by solving new challenges and initiating new processes that will result in a broader university wide impact.
The Data Reporting Analyst will understand unique data output needs and translate requirements into reporting solutions. This position helps team members understand new and innovative ways data can be consumed in Blackbaud CRM utilizing both out of box tools and other reporting tools. Primary responsibilities include:
* Optimize options for information delivery.
* Identify, coordinate and aggregate data from a variety of sources.
* Data testing, file load coordination and validation.
* Provide integration assistance and create packages for warehouse deployments.
* Design, develop, validate, test and deploy custom reports, ad-hoc queries, and data exports.
* Develop requirements and reporting documentation.
* Deliver solutions with consistent, available, and accurate data that is fit for reporting and analytics.
* Expert in writing, tuning and troubleshooting complex SQL scripts.
* This position communicates with the Data Reporting Manager regarding deliverables, progress and quality and helps spread and share technical skills with others in the organization.
* The Data Reporting Analyst for Advancement Information Systems (AIS) reports to the Data Reporting Manager of Advancement Information Systems.
