*REPORTING AND DATABASE SPECIALIST*
Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia has two openings for Reporting
and Database Specialists. Key responsibilities include developing reports
and extracting information from our database to help fundraising staff
better understand, analyze and identify trends and opportunities for
fundraising. This position will serve as the in-house expert on
fundraising data and user of the existing Federation CRM system, training
new reporting and fundraising staff on the CRM system. This position will
also manage fundraising-related mass email production.
*Key areas of responsibility include:*
- Create detailed reports, mailing lists, and other data extractions in
support of Federation fundraising, programming, and events
- Participate in the development and implementation of a new Power BI
reporting environment
- Provide ongoing training for Federation staff on the use of the
existing CRM system
- Monitor the data request process, ensuring that all data requests are
assigned and processed in a timely manner
- Manage the production of fundraising-related mass emails, including
training additional Advancement Services staff to serve as back-up during
peak times or staff absence
- Manage special affinity mailings and assist with acknowledgement,
receipting, and pledge reminder processes as needed
- Complete data hygiene projects in database
- Assist the Chief Development Officer and fundraising staff with
campaign analysis
- Assist in reviewing preliminary donor data before direct mail,
phone-a-thon and telemarketing solicitations
- Assist with annual projects such as worker assignments, updating
committees and the nomination process
- Other duties as assigned
- May require occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work
*Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*
- Two to four years of related experience in reporting and
administrative support
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Proven experience in working with relational database systems, donor
databases or constituent relationship management systems
- Understanding of reporting techniques, tools, and methods
- Comfort and effectiveness translating end users’ needs into database
output
- Good organizational skills
- Advanced communication and interpersonal skills to effectively deal
with donors and their representatives, internal clients and other Jewish
Federation personnel.
- Expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
*Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities*
- Five years of related experience in database reporting
- Basic SQL knowledge
- Experience with reporting software such as Crystal Reports, Tableau,
or Power BI
- Experience with Blackbaud’s eCRM or Raiser’s Edge software
- Experience in a non-profit fundraising setting
