We had a strong December. However, our Fall (before Thanksgiving) Direct Mail appeals performed way below expectations. The messages & visuals were similar to successful past efforts, so we don’t think that was the problem. Digital solicitations exceeded projections during that time period. We looked at cross-over donors, who received a DM appeal, but responded Online – they are growing in numbers, but not enough to offset the underperformance of the mail.
Did anyone else see a slump in Direct Mail responses during the Fall? Do you know why? Any other noticeable trends?
Thanks for any insight you can share.

Has anyone experienced a drop in December gifts in relation to the new tax laws?
