  • 1.  CRM For Small Volunteer Organization

A smaller synagogue is looking for a CRM to be in place for upcoming Capital Campaign. They are looking for ease of set-up and use by small group of volunteers working remotely. Potential for system to be used for other purposes by small admin staff later on. Looking to minimize any upfront or ongoing out-of-pocket expenses. Any recommendations?

Donor Perfect has a flexible price system based on number of records and is cloud based so would work well with the volunteers. I recommend LittleGreenLight if cost is an issue. It is an incredible value for the cost for smaller orgs. I am on the board of a membership organization with 300-400 members and a mailing list of just over 3,000 and it works great for us with little impact on our expenses. It is cloud-based and there are three security settings available (Administrator, Fundraiser and Volunteer). I haven't had the need to evaluate the settings carefully yet, so it might not be flexible enough (the Volunteer setting may be too restrictive and the Fundraiser setting might share too much information, depending on the comfort level the synagogue has with their volunteers). Hillary: I would look into Bloomerang. The food pantry where I used to volunteer uses it now and finds it very easy to use, inexpensive, and it works well for them. It's also cloud-based, so your remote users can access it. Thanks, Gregory Duke, D.Phil Partner, Database Services Staupell Analytics Group Ph.
