Jeff: Are you using Paypal Payflow? I know there may be a couple of different versions...but if so, you need to login to your merchant account and go to the "Hosted Checkout pages" area and "uncheck" the addresses checkbox to not make them required. I can't speak to iModules, we haven't used them for a couple of years now. We haven't had complaints. We have not had downtime with them. It is more dependent on how tight the connection with iModules is. When we were with iModules, we were using Payflow, and didn't have the issue you are describing. Hello all – Happy New Year from the great white north (but not so white these days, we miss the snow)!! We are implementing the PayPal payment solution on our iModules giving page and are stuck on the “address required” toggle. We have been banging our heads against the brick wall of both iModules and PayPal support centres. Both of which are saying that we need to make the change on the other company’s website. Asking for help from anyone who has both iModules and PayPal. * PayPal says, “On the developer side, we need to toggle the address required field on the shopping cart” on iModules, but iModules says that we need to do this on the PayPal side! Thanks for the quick response Peter. We do not use PayPal Flow. Is it worth the extra $0.10 per transaction? Hi Jeff, We have PayPal checkout option on our iModules giving forms. We require donor to enter address on first step of the iMods form, and the address fields feed into the billing step, so donor doesn’t have to re-enter it. The “Form No Blanks” token in the admin and member notification emails has the donor address. The receipt from PayPal doesn’t have the address unless donor requests that it be included. I don’t know if this answers your question or not. Hi all, Sorry for the delay in response. We were able to get this working properly in iModules. We do not collect address information in the form and it was being collected at credit card billing page, so when we first enabled Paypal on iModules, we did not have address being passed. Then we found the following information near the bottom of the iModules support page (https://support.imodules.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007645172-PayPal): - Will billing information pass back from PayPal? Billing information will automatically write to reporting and display on the finish page/confirmation email. The owner of the merchant account (i.e. Purdue Alumni Association) needs to contact their rep at PayPal and ask to have "Billing Address" under "Information Request" enabled on their merchant account. This in turn would present a message to the donor when checking out confirming that PayPal is authorized to send their billing information back to the requester. - We had our finance team who manages our relationship with Paypal call them and do exactly that.
