Hi All,
We are considering lowering our minimum age of booking/counting revocable Planned Gifts. I've done a little online digging and the minimum age to count a PG ranges from age 60 to 75 including one source that states "For donors younger than 70, one option is to say that the youngest donor needs to be at least 50 years old for the bequest to count at all; then if you count a bequest at age 50 at 60% of value, every year between ages 50 and 70 is an increment of 2%." (As a gift processor that last one does not sound like fun).
What age does your organization book/count a revocable PG and what is the reasoning for it?
Thank you!
Sarah
