Good morning

We have a student group on campus that is conducting an auction to raise funds for a local organization. I'm being asked to provide donors with a tax receipt and just wanted to make sure that this is allowable.

I've found a number of helpful resources regarding how to receipt those who donate items to the auction, as well as winning bidders, but I wasn't finding anything around this particular scenario.

Thanks, John. Leadership was hoping to be able to count these donors in our participation numbers, but it sounds like we can't enter their gifts in our database since they're basically just being collected by us to then pass along to another 501c3 organization.
