Pages 36-37 of CASE refer to Bequests often being made contingent on a particular event happening. Given that the text doesn't specifically go on to advise against recording a contingent bequest, I'm assuming that it's perfectly acceptable to do so, even if the institution is the secondary beneficiary, but would love to hear confirmation either way.
