  • 1.  Recommendations on other conferences or groups/orgs for data leaders in advancement/development?

    As I lead our data team here – one of my current struggles is identifying professional development opportunities for members of the team.

     

    We've sent members to attend CASE DRIVE, AASP Summit, the CASE Gifts & Records Workshop, and the Texas Advancement Analytics Symposium.  (And I am aware of EDUCAUSE's annual conference)

     

    These are all great conferences and forums covering a breadth of topics.

    Are there other conferences or professional groups/orgs that we should look to, especially when it comes to data leadership, data management, or data governance?

    Within the advancement/nonprofit domain?  NTEN's annual conference is interesting.

    I would recommend taking a look at HEDW (the Higher Education Data Warehousing Forum) and DAMA International (data management profession, in general, not just higher ed) which has local chapters that host meetings as well.
