Hello Community,
We have been notified of being named 25% beneficiary of a donor's Roth IRA. As of the time when the donor signed the form, 25% of the Roth IRA is valued at $2,000,000. However, this donor will not be 65 by the time our current campaign ends (in fact, he is only 57) so we cannot simply count $2,000,000, though we have been pushed to do so by our Stewardship and Donor Relations Team.
This one seems tricky. I imagine he will continue to contribute to the IRA and then will subsequently live on it during his retirement.
How would we calculate the actual current value of this gift? We have PGM Anywhere but I cannot seem to figure out the best tool for this scenario.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated!
