    Good afternoon!

    We are trying to determine if PayPal Giving Fund is a DAF or if they're operating as a pay-through organization to assist companies with their employee giving programs. I have directly reached out to them, but haven't received a response yet. Their website: PayPal Giving Fund Home - PayPal US

    We help people support their favorite charities online and helps charities raise funds through PayPal, eBay, and other technology platforms.

     seems to show that they offer a variety of different services. We have a donor that gave through his company via Deed (a platform of PayPal Giving Fund) and then was matched via his company the same way. We're trying to figure out how to record this gift.

    They are a DAF. Any gift you receive from them is legally their gift. Do NOT issue a receipt to the original donor.
