    Hello all:

    I was recently asked about outsourcing prospect research as a temporary solution while we have an increased need to support new MGO positions leading to a new campaign. I am curious if there are other schools currently outsourcing prospect research activities outside of typical wealth screenings. If so:

    What services are you outsourcing?
    What dollar amount do you currently budget for outsourcing?
    Do you recommend any vendors?

    Background: Our university currently serves upwards of 20,000 students, we have an alumni base of over 100,000, and currently have 1 researcher servicing 6 MGOs as well as an AVP and VP for Development. With a projected potential of adding another 4 MGOs by summer 2023.

    Hi Marc,
    We have a hybrid approach with one FTE on staff researcher and one 1/2 FTE outsourced researcher and that is working very well for us. They support about a dozen MGO and PGOs with heavy support for the Presidential visits. Happy to chat if you want.
