  • 1.  iWave Import Template

    Posted 12-09-2023 02:07 PM

    Hi -

My College recently transitioned to iWave to assist in our Prospect Research.  I'd like to manually upload the iWave ratings in Raiser's Edge of our 50,000 screened records.  Has anyone built an import header specifically for the iWave ratings into Raiser's Edge - and would you be willing to share?

    Thanks,
    Rick

I have not done a manual import, but depending on your method (native import vs. ImportOmatic), it shouldn't be difficult.

Is your RE instance on-prem or hosted? RENXT? Is there a particular reason you wouldn't want to use the pre-built iWave for RENXT integration (https://support.iwave.com/s/article/iWave-for-Raiser-s-Edge-NXT-Installation-and-User-Guide)?

    Hi Matt -

    Thanks for the questions.

Our instance is hosted - RENXT.  The iWave integration has been established but supports only 50 records at a time with a limit per day established by Blackbaud.  We have 50,000 records screened and prefer not to do 50 records at a time.

    Hi Rick,

The standard RE import template for ratings can be used for iWave data and can be imported using the native RE import tool as long as the results from iWave include the RE Import ID or Constituent ID. You'll need:

    • Headers*
      ImportID (or ConsID)
, PRateImpID, PRateSource, PRateDate, PRateCat, PRateDesc, PRateNotes

    • Fields
      ImportID (or ConsID)
, Prospect Ratings Import ID, Prospect Ratings Source, Prospect Ratings Date, Prospect Ratings Category, Prospect Ratings Description, Prospect Ratings Note

This is the knowledgebase article: https://kb.blackbaud.com/knowledgebase/articles/Article/46333

My one word of advice is to use a use a unique Source for each rating type (e.g. iWave Propensity Rating, iWave Score, etc. as opposed to all "iWave") so that the ratings are easily exportable.

Happy to chat if you need any additional details,

    Brittany

    Thanks Brittany -

I'm aware of import and the ratings area. I guess I wasn't specific enough:

Does anyone have have a template for an iWave ratings import - that already includes the table names - I do know the names and know how to build an import template - I was just hoping to save some work by grabbing something that is already built

I'll go ahead and develop that myself.  Thanks everyone.  Once developed I'll offer it up to iWave and Blackbaud Knowledgebase for their posting.
