As you may recall, I track roughly two dozen IRS Forms and Publications semi-annually to look for updates. Several of those I check quarterly, as they are the most influential to the work we do in Advancement Services:
- Forms 8282 & 8283 (and separate instructions)
- Publications 526, 561, & 1771
I just completed that quarterly review, and none of the above have been updated since my last check.
For those of you new to FundSvcs, I am attaching the list of IRS documents I consider the most relevant to the nonprofit sector. You will find a column reflecting the most recent version out there, and the dates I last checked for updates. If you have older versions of any of these, you may want to go to the IRS website to obtain the latest versions:
