Hello all,
I know the value of an in-kind gift does NOT get included on a receipt to the donor but, at the end of the year we do send some donors a roll up of their giving for the calendar year. Would you include the amount we recorded for the in-kind gift with all the other cash gifts?
Example:
John Smith gave an in-kind donation worth $10K and he also gave an additional $100K in cash throughout the year. When we send him a rollup of his calendar giving would the receipt show $110K total given or do we have to separate what was cash and then a description of the in-kind donation.
Thank you,
Tammy
