My organization serves as a fiscal sponsor for two other organizations. I know that we are required to include contributions received for these organizations on our financial statements. But I'm curious to know if other fiscal sponsors also include these gifts in their fundraising totals? My CEO would like me to include them, but I worry that it will skew our fundraising data. Per the terms of our fiscal sponsorship agreement, we do not solicit any gifts on their behalf, nor do we steward those gifts outside of issuing a tax receipt. Cultivation, solicitation and all other stewardship is handles by the organizations.
Thank you,
Stephanie
