Good afternoon,
I was wondering if you have specific provisions related to recruiting students or special access to programs within Colleges/Schools?
I found information regarding the QPS and QPQ's: https://www.irs.gov/charities-non-profits/advertising-or-qualified-sponsorship-payments however, I wanted to find more specific references to "access to students".
Thank you,

Good afternoon, Liz -
When we brought a fundraising staff person on board a couple years ago to focus on corporate giving a new approach was taken to build sponsorship opportunities. As a result, we have seen a huge increase in faculty and staff requests to help build corporate sponsorship opportunities for Athletics, various conferences and a number of annual programming initiatives in several schools.
We do indeed record and receipt corporate sponsorship revenue - adding quids where appropriate though we have thankfully been able to create levels of recognition that all but eliminate any QPQs needing to be addressed. I would be happy to connect you with our terrific corporate giving officer if that would be helpful. There are several document templates from proposals to commitment forms, etc., which have been developed here around corporate sponsorship opportunities. Feel free to touch base with me directly.
Best regards - Amy

Thanks John.
Has any institution used a written sponsorship agreement?

I've not seen these uniquely identified often if no tangible benefits are involved - although a few clients will add "Sponsorship" on the comment line to be picked up on the receipt.
However, when a QPQ is involved, I do often see the benefit piece reflect "sponsorship" in the description - again for automatic inclusion on the receipt.

Good morning!
Looking for information on how other institutions are handling corporate sponsorships. We may be getting ready for another campaign and this campaign may involve corporate sponsorships.
So my question is
1. How do you dentity corporate sponsorships in your database? or maybe you don't.
Thanks
Liz
