    Brick Program!

If we sell bricks for a walkway where donors pay $200 for a brick that we purchase and engrave and WE KEEP THE BRICK for a walkway. The $200 is fully deductible by the person who is paying for the brick.

The donor sends in $200 and tells us what they would like to be engraved on the brick however we use the brick in our walkway, the donor does not get the brick.

The payment is fully deductible as the donor receives only name recognition - nothing tangible.

However, do keep in mind that if you invite all donors to a ribbon-cutting ceremony and provide food and beverages, that DOES reduce the deductible gift amount.
